Hello my name is Dmitri Olympiev and I teach at Pines Ice Arena in Pembroke, Florida. You can reach us on the web at www.www.pinesicearena.com. This time I will introduce you to advanced spins. Now advanced spins require more speed, so we will do a three turn, crossover, swing the shoulders, step on the spinning foot and bring everything in. Now notice at the end, I do forward stroking position called “Landing Position”. With this position, we’re finishing off all jumps and spins. Now you’re probably just saw that when I did the spin, I crossed my foot, this is my position during the spin, we use this position to make the speed faster. Once again, this is Dmitri Olympiev and I’m teaching at Pines Ice Arena in Pembroke, Florida. You can reach us on the web at www.www.pinesicearena.com. And on behalf of expertviews.com, we’d like to thank you for watching.
And if you try to spin like this you will end up on your face. Look how much he travels. He cannot center a spin. Learn from an american coach.
He traveled on that spin from Florida to Mexico.
If you dislike the way he teaches or skates, then please, refer to his technique and add some intelligent constructive criticism so we can all learn. Don't try to demean others because of their accent or nationality.
wow..... he travels.... a lot.... that was a big waste of time, but... it was very entertaining. =)
I appreciate you for sharing these videos. I would really like to enjoy skating with your video. Thank you!
I just wanted to say a few things about the negative comments to your videos. I've posted this same comment under all of your videos since the haters have done the same thing, too. The negative comments seem to be coming from a small group of people--in fact, I say it's coming from just one person posting under different screen names. I would probably pay attention to the criticism if it were actually objective, coherent or constructive--but it's none of these things. Its only purpose is to slander you. Whoever is trying to paint you as a bad guy has done quite the opposite. He/she is full of vindictiveness and pettiness and clearly has a personal grudge against you. Whatever you've done to warrant this kind of treatment, whether you deserve it or not, is completely irrelevant and is none of my business. All that really matters is if your videos are useful and helpful or not. In my humble opinion, your videos have been a great help to me and I applaud you for that.
If this was my coach growing up I think I would have quit.
Why you are saying that this guy is no good?! First of all, before judging his English, you should have at least some intelligence and don't say: "this guy", because "this guy" has a name, and his name is Mr. Olympiev. Secondly, you can't judge this coach just by looking at these video clips. All these video clips helped my cousin, and helped a lot, even her coach were so surprised. I want to thank you Mr. Olympiev for sharing these lessons with other people, and your English is excellent, you explaining very clear and very professional. Thank you so much!
Thank you
Thank you so much Mr. Olympiev, those video clips are VERY helpful, and please don't pay attention to those negative comments. In my opinion you are very professional and great coach! Russian skaters are the Best! =) Thank you!
