I just wanted to say a few things about the negative comments to your videos. I've posted this same comment under all of your videos since the haters have done the same thing, too. The negative comments seem to be coming from a small group of people--in fact, I say it's coming from just one person posting under different screen names. I would probably pay attention to the criticism if it were actually objective, coherent or constructive--but it's none of these things. Its only purpose is to slander you. Whoever is trying to paint you as a bad guy has done quite the opposite. He/she is full of vindictiveness and pettiness and clearly has a personal grudge against you. Whatever you've done to warrant this kind of treatment, whether you deserve it or not, is completely irrelevant and is none of my business. All that really matters is if your videos are useful and helpful or not. In my humble opinion, your videos have been a great help to me and I applaud you for that.

This is absolutley ridiculous that this coach who does not even represent the United States should put videos of himself attempting to teach figure skating. Firstly he needs to learn how to speak the language, and second, does the rink know about this, because soliciting himself like this is unethical and disrespectful to the other coaches at that rink, who are probably far more qualified than him. If you want to take skating lessons you should go to the ice rink and take from a PSA (Professional Skaters Association) rated coach. These coaches are ranked in the country by top United States coaches such as Frank Carrol. Any Russian coach who has to sink to this level of online video, but cannot bother to get himself rated to coach should be sent back to work in the circus over there.

Terrible. I would rather take lessons with an American coach

He cannot say the letter W

Anyone who would subject themselves or their child to this kind of person is very stupid, he looks like a child molester.

lol i dunno i like this site for other things but for ice/figure skating, this guy is no good. i watch skating and take lessons in the OC ( cali ) and he just looks like he skates weird !!! he looks really funny im gonna tell my friends from skating class about him so they can see too hahahha

Why you are saying that this guy is no good?! First of all, before judging his English, you should have at least some intelligence and don't say: "this guy", because "this guy" has a name, and his name is Mr. Olympiev. Secondly, you can't judge this coach just by looking at these video clips. All these video clips helped my cousin, and helped a lot, even her coach were so surprised. I want to thank you Mr. Olympiev for sharing these lessons with other people, and your English is excellent, you explaining very clear and very professional. Thank you so much!

One-Foot Glides in Ice Skating

Hi my name is Dmitri Olympiev and I am from Pines Ice Arena, in Pembroke, Florida. You can reach us on the web at www.www.pinesicearena.com. Now when you’re skating on the ice, everything you do is pretty much on one foot, that’s why our next lesson will be dedicated to “One-Foot-Glide.” How to skate on one foot and keep your balance. Now this is the exercise where there is a lot of body parts and both. I have to think about my head, my shoulders, my back, my hips, my knees, and yes my ankles. I’m going to put my arms out, feet together. Keep the body very stiff, keep the leg up. The other foot, keep the leg up. Keep in mind, my ankles and knees are together. One, two, three, up. One, two, three, up. I always think about keeping my back straight and the arms. We’ll be right back.
